Synopsis

P h o n e d e m i c  exposes and explores a new and largely uncharted territory of yet another dependence — device addiction.  While revealing the impact the thing is having on our human experience, the author intertwines this rising dependency amidst slices of her compelling real-life story of struggle, peril, and alcoholism.
 
Stumbling over the cracks in the road led Ana to a new-found faith and the intuition that beckoned her towards the light along the way.  With the passage of time, she began recognizing and identifying the carefully- curated clutches that have put a spell on humanity, which are luring us further into darkness and away from authenticity and genuine connection.

Witnessing this rapid progression towards the Heads-Down Generation, Ana shares her concerns about the damaging effects device usage is having on us all.  She encourages others to get back to the day-to-day exchanges that have been replaced by lengthy scrolls.

Everyone has a story, and the author shares hers on a platter with candidness and plentiful sides of humour and depth.  She inspires us to adopt viable ways that can free us from the pull toward our devices, which distance us further from experiencing a real life.
